Finally got around to uploading a newer version, hopefully all the bugs are gone in this one I’m currently working on adding a score tracking system to the project (dont ask me why, ive already handed it in, just feel like it) I’ve just finished programming one of my A-level Computing tasks, it’s a game called Wari and is similar to Mancala and Oware/Awale. All these games are variants of an ancient african strategy game. It is written in c# with Visual Studio 2008 and uses the .net framework v2.0. As far as i know there are only two bugs/missing features, Rules and a nice GUI, until I become a graphical genius command buttons and radio selectors are going to have to do! Anyway, if you have a few minutes spare feel free to download it and have a go, i’d appreciant the feedback and you never know it may even be fun :O Link: iWari v1.1.1 Sorry for the lack of anything, recently ive had a manic few weeks. Exams, coursework and other boring things keep eating my time and keeping me from the interesting stuff! Apart from those the last few weeks have been both good and bad, I’ve made some real advances in my programming skills and completed both my computing A-Level coursework tasks in c# .net. Ive also been getting back to what i really enjoy, ROM cooking :). I got an HTC Nike (Touch Dual) from my family for Christmas so i’ve been busying myself porting a new build of WM 6.1 to it along with working with the rest of the Athena Project team to create our new release: AP 4.0 “Touch” which will be my first proper contribution to the AP. I’ve also recieved a new laptop from the lovely insurance company when mine was broken by some twat in the sixth form common room (need to thank them, the new one is much better). It’s an ASUS F3sc for anyone who cares and its rather nice, although the first thing i did is to wipe of the Vista crap and stick on a good old OEM copy of XP. So thats the good part, the bad news is that tragically my older cousin, Ali, was killed in a car crash after a college party in Plymouth. Ali was a great guy and had everything going for him and i will miss him dearly. Sorry for the long post, ill do it more regularly from now on! Next up: a hint to speed up your internet and looking forward to the Bishop Luffa Ski Trip 08! This is an urgent message going out to all one of the people that read this site.
